To enrol Download the instructor test plan here KSS 2024 - Toetsplan Instructeur 3.pdf Wingsurfing/wingfoiling Difference between Wingsurfing & Wingfoiling Wingsurfing is the basis for wingfoiling. The introduction lesson will always be a wingsurf lesson. Each participant gets his own inflatable board and wing. When wingsurfing you use the wing, this is an inflatable wing. With the wing you convert the wind into speed so that you can wingsurf over the water. When wing foiling we use a wingboard where we attach a so-called hydrofoil underneath. With the hydrofoil it enables you to come completely out of the water. This means you no longer have any resistance and you actually fly over the water! This is already possible with very light wind and makes wing foiling really spectacular. Introduction lesson Lesson method From wing surfing to wing foiling When teaching our wing foil lessons, we use the teaching method developed by WingXperience in collaboration with MB Pro Center, tailored to the RRD materials. The method is divided into six levels. Each level indicates what you should master to advance to the next. Our teaching method is recommended by the GWA (Global Wingsports Association). Wingsurf 1 Wingbasics material and environment How does the wind work How to use the wing How to get started on the board Wingfoil 4 How do I stay safe and stable on the foil? How to stay stable on the foil in any wind Sailing upwind and downwind on the foil Wingsurf 2 Wing basics on the water: How to luff up How to lose weight How to cross (walk at altitude) How to jibe and tack without foil Wingfoil 5 Tacking / Jibing How to make a jibe How do you change tack? Wingfoil 3 How do you get on the foil The operation of a hydrofoil (theory) "Pump" technology How to get on the foil (practice) Wingfoil 6 Freestyle (how to jump) How do you jump How to make a frontside 360 Freestyle jibes Wingfoil beginner material The Wingfoil & Wingsurf materials We have selected the best materials to teach wingssurf and wingfoil. We have opted for inflatable boards. These are inflatable boards from the RRD brand, the boards are produced in such a way that you hardly notice that they are inflatable boards. The advantages of inflatable boards are mainly that they are lightweight and you hurt yourself much less in the event of a fall compared to a hardboard. We have the boards in different sizes: RRD Air Beluga140 litres RRD Air Beluga200 litres RRD Air Beluga235 litres Because the boards have a lot of buoyancy, it is easier to learn the basics of wing surfing and wing foiling. You are more stable on the board and this gives you more confidence. In the first lessons we work without Foil, this is wingsurfing. We always use the RRD Airbeluga 200 and 235 for this. Because these boards are equipped with the option to surf without Foil. When we make the step to wing foiling, we have again made conscious choices to learn foiling as familiar and safe as possible. We use RRD's 2400 Universal SW Foil with a shorter mast of 50 cm . The advantage of starting with a large surface front wing of 2400cm2 is that you get a lot of lift. So it is easier to get on the Foil. The short mast ensures that you get used to the feeling of floating above the water. During all lessons with the Foil, the students wear a helmet. In both the wingsurf and wingfoil lessons, the students wear an orange lycra to be clearly visible on the water. Do you want to know more about how the Foil works? Luchtfoto surf spot 1/8 Weather & Wind The IJmeer near Almere is a beautiful natural area that you absolutely shouldn't miss if you're in the area. With its expansive waters and surrounding nature, the IJmeer offers a wonderful setting for enjoying various water sports. The IJmeer borders the Markermeer lake and is surrounded by green banks, offering breathtaking views of the Almere and Amsterdam skylines. It's also known as the spot with the most beautiful sunset in the Netherlands. With the wind in your hair and the water beneath your feet, you can enjoy the latest watersports like wingfoiling and wingsurfing. The IJmeer offers ideal conditions for water sports, as it's great for surfing in almost any wind direction. Each wind direction has its own characteristics. As soon as the wind blows from the east, it's "offshore," or slightly offshore, at our spot. This creates mirror-smooth water, which is great for getting on the foil, but the downside is that the wind can be a bit gusty. Wingfoiling and surfing remain sports, of course, and we are dependent on the elements. For the best wind forecasts, we recommend checking Windguru , Windy, or Windfinder . There's also a weather station on Pampus that displays the current wind . Wing surfing/wing foiling Wind The different conditions at Marina Muiderzand You can launch from the surf beach in any direction. Each wind direction has its own characteristics at the spot. Make sure you're well prepared before hitting the water and don't get caught out by the conditions. WingXperience was founded in 2021, driven by a passion for (water) sports, teaching, and entrepreneurship. The beginning of a new era in water sports: wing foiling! Bjorn Verheul: co-founder and owner/instructor As a little boy, I started windsurfing on the surface of the water in Lelystad at the Paradiso surf school. From the very first moment, I fell in love with windsurfing. I lived in Harderwijk and then enthusiastically continued on Lake Veluwe, where I also became an instructor. After high school, I completed the CALO teacher training program. During my studies, I worked at Ripstar Travel, where I became well-versed in the travel industry. That's where my dream of owning my own business in the surfing world actually began. After graduating, I worked as an instructor for seven years. But I still longed for a surfing business. Wingfoiling was gaining popularity. Everything just fell into place at the right time. This was the time to get started! Tessa Beumer - co-founder and owner/instructor Wingfoil addicted since July 2021! After completing my (C)ALO (sport management), I set out on an adventure. I taught windsurfing and skiing abroad for many seasons. I was always looking for the combination of freedom, outdoor living, adventure, and work. I come from an entrepreneurial family. Soon after graduating, I knew I wanted to start my own business. When wing foiling became popular, I jumped right in. I spent a lot of time on the water and trained hard. In 2022, I sailed my first GWA and also became a team rider/ambassodor for RRD. In 2023, I became the Dutch slalom champion. Meanwhile, I worked hard on setting up WingXperience. I've now found the perfect combination of teaching and entrepreneurship! At WingXperience we stand for: Personal attention; personal approach and small groups. Enthusiasm: love for sports, wind, water and teaching and we want to pass that on! Accessibility: Wing foiling should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone! Professionalism: high-quality lessons, exclusively experienced, certified instructors. Quality: Latest and A-quality materials! Adventure: wingfoil trips abroad. What is wingsu rfen? Wingsurfing and Wingfoiling Wingsurfing en wing foiling are the new disciplines within water sports that are growing extremely fast. It is a combination of windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing. The sport is practiced with an inflatable 'wing', a board and possibly a hydrofoil. By de hydrofoil you actually get the magical feeling of flying above the water! Wing foiling and wing surfing brings many benefits: You only need a little wind, which significantly increases your hours on the water! Easy to build The ultimate feeling of freedom A full-body workout accessible to everyone! Within this new water sport we make a distinction between wing surfing and wing foiling, where wing surfing is practiced without the foil. Wingsurfing has become very popular in a short time. It is a new sport that is easy to learn for novice surfers. You can learn to wingsurf without any surfing experience. The difference with windsurfing and kitesurfing is not only that it is easier to learn, but it is also faster to set up. After all, you need less equipment. You only need a wing and board to get started. The different surf brands use the latest materials and techniques to get the most out of this sport. The image below shows a wing of the brandRRD . The wing consists of the following parts - Leading edge - Strut - Handles - Windows (not all wings have this) -Leash - Pump (must be purchased separately) Because you have to inflate the leading-edge and strut, these are filled with air, the wing can 'fly', which makes the wing so special and light. This can also ensure that you easily lose the wing because it can blow away or float away. The leash was invented for this purpose. You attach the leash to your wrist so that you cannot lose the wing during wing surfing or wing foiling. What is the difference between wingsurfing and wing foiling? Wingsurfing is the basis needed for wing foiling. When wing surfing you use the wing, this is an inflatable wing. With the wing you convert the wind into speed so that you can wingsurf over the water. When wing foiling we use a wingboard where we have a so-calledhydrofoil mount below. With a hydrofoil you come completely out of the water. As a result, you no longer have any resistance and you fly over the water! This is already possible with very little wind and makes wing foiling really spectacular. Read ourblog about the hydrofoil if you want to know more about how it works. How much wind do you need to be able to Wingsurf? This partly depends on your weight and how strong you are. From wind force 3 (8 knots) Wingsurfing is already fun to do! Up to and including wind force 6 (25 knots) it is doable for most people. Only more experienced Wingsurfers go with even more wind. You can learn how to wing foil yourselfprivate lessons or learn to surf in a group. Wing foiling is therefore an active, sporty and fun outing that you can do with friends, family and colleagues. See you soon on the water!

Then we recommend the following article to read! Choosing the right equipment plays a huge role in your progression. Difference between wingsurfing & wing foiling Wingsurfing is the foundation for wingfoiling. The introductory lesson will always be a wingsurfing lesson. Each participant will receive their own inflatable board and wing. Wingsurfing uses a wing, which is an inflatable wing. The wing converts the wind into speed, allowing you to wingsurf across the water. Wingfoiling uses a wingboard with a hydrofoil attached to it. A hydrofoil lifts you completely out of the water, eliminating drag and allowing you to fly across the water! This can be achieved with very little wind, making wingfoiling truly spectacular. Book easily online and manage your own lessons! Everyone has a full agenda these days and prefers to manage it themselves. We respond to this by our own online booking system. You schedule your own lessons when it suits you best. If the surf lesson cannot take place due to weather conditions, it will be communicated at least two days in advance. You can then easily move the lesson to another time. We create tailor-made surf lessons, matching your agenda, surfing experience and level. You can choose from a single wingfoil lesson , lesson packages (3, 5, 7 or 10 lessons), private lessons , an advanced lesson (1-on-1 with video analysis) and the Learn & Ride combination package (lesson + equipment rental). How long does a wingfoil lesson last? A single lesson and the lessons in lesson packages last 1.5 hours . The advanced lesson lasts 75 minutes . How big are the groups during a single wingfoil lesson? The individual wingfoil lesson is given in groups of maximum 5 people , so that everyone receives sufficient personal attention. What is included in a single wingfoil lesson? Included are: board, wing, foil (for foil lessons), lycra and helmet (for foil) .A wetsuit and insurance are optional. How safe is wing foiling for beginners? Wingfoiling is safe when you start with professional guidance. You will first learn the basics without foil before moving on to foiling.During the foil lessons we use suitable beginner equipment and protective gear such as a helmet and impact vest. What equipment do I need to start wing foiling? To start you need a wing, wingboard, hydrofoil, leash, helmet and wetsuit .However, we recommend taking lessons before purchasing your own equipment. This way, you'll know exactly which gear best suits your skill level. And in the early stages of foiling, you'll make rapid progress, meaning you'll quickly outgrow your equipment. How do I book and reschedule my wing foil lessons? You can easily book and plan your lessons via our online booking system. If a lesson is cancelled due to weather conditions, we will notify you at least two days in advance, allowing you to easily reschedule. You can also reschedule your lesson yourself up to 48 hours in advance using the booking system. What is the difference between wingsurfing and wing foiling? Wingsurfing is the basic thing: you ride with a wing on a board without a foil.Wingfoiling involves a hydrofoil under the board, allowing you to "fly" above the water with less drag. A magical feeling! Are there special classes for children? Yes! We also offer youth lessons through our Kids Academy —specially designed to teach children to wingsurf and wingfoil in a safe and fun way. Windsurfing is available from age 4 (provided they have a swimming certificate). Wingfoiling is available from around age 9.

Book Wing surfing/wing foiling Difference between Wingsurfing & Wingfoiling Wingsurfing is the basis for wingfoiling. WINGFOIL YOUTH ACADEMY Unique at WingXperience! We have set up the Wingsuf Young Academy especially for children. Wing foiling is the latest water sport, which is still developing rapidly. In addition to the adults, we also want to respond immediately to the kids in this early stage. After all, learned young, done old. In addition, wing foiling is much more accessible to children than, for example, kite surfing, which entails many more dangers. Compared to windsurfing, the compact wing foil material is a big advantage (especially for children because they still use smaller material than adults). In short: it's time to create the Dutch Young Wingfoil Groms! Age Wing foiling does require some strength and a certain weight. That is why our Young Academy is suitable from the age of 9 (with some exceptions). Material We use the small wings especially for the kids. These differ in size between 1.5m2 – 4.0m2. The boards are inflatable boards. In the beginning of large volume with a lot of buoyancy (140L), so that children can concentrate on the basics. Later the boards can vary between 35L-90L. We start with short masts of 50cm with foil front wings between 1500m2 – 2000m2. Equipment and safety It's important that the kids don't lose the fun because of the wrong equipment! We have wetsuits and shoes available in different children's sizes. In addition, they always receive a life jacket from us. As soon as we start foiling, we also wear a helmet. Teaching method The intention is to learn how to wingfoil in a 'playful way'. For example, we alternate with games in between. Step 1: Basics (lace) We get to know the material and we start by getting acquainted with the wing on de side. There is much more to every water sport than just practicing the sport. For example, we have to learn to understand the wind: which wind directions are there, what is cruising, what is sailing before the wind, etc. We deal with all this in wingsurf step 1. Step 2: Wing + Board + Safety (Water) With wing and large board with side fins (without foil), we go out on the water. We learn to get up, keep balance and sail away independently. Before we go sailing ourselves, we learn how you can always safely come back independently. . The basics of step 1 are constantly repeated and applied. Step 3: Cruising up, walking uphill (water) We learn to cross up on the big board, by having the right foot & wing position and watching where you go. The challenge is to get back to the same place where we started. Step 4: wing + foil (water) In this step, the focus is on the foil. How does the foil work? We learn the correct pump technique to get on the foil and to 'fly' the first meters. Step 5: stable wingfoilen In this step, the focus is on foiling, staying stable above the water. Being able to surf long stretches on the foil. Step 6: Jibe and tack on the foil If you manage to stay on the foil for long stretches, the next step is to practice the tack and jibe on the foil. In the beginning this is quite exciting but you learn this very quickly. Lookhere's a video how one of us makes a jibe on the foil. The method is divided into six levels. Each level indicates what you should master to advance to the next level. Our teaching method is recommended by theGWA (Global Wing Sports Association ) Book kids lessons! We've selected the best materials for wingsurfing and wingfoil lessons. We've chosen inflatable boards. These are RRD brand inflatable boards, manufactured so you'll barely notice they're inflatable.
